Hunger Games book review

I'm not a huge fan of sci-fi books but I couldn't put this one down. I had to find out what happened to the protagonist Katniss at the end of the hunger games. This book is about how she had to learn how to survive when her father passed away and took on the role of the breadwinner. Did she survive the hunger games? Well, you'll have to read it to find out.
I don't want to say too much about the book but it kind of reminded me of the 1987 movie The Running Man where people were running for their lives while others watched like it was a form of entertainment. It was like future wrestling or even Ultimate Fighting Championship except people were killed.
